What is Platelet Rich Plasma?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a platelet-rich blood plasma, containing various growth factors and cytokines that can stimulate bone healing, soft tissue and suspected anti ageing processes. As an anti ageing therapy, this therapy is relatively safe because it uses the patient's own blood (autologous donor) with the method in such a way as to obtain platelet-rich plasma components. You can feel the benefits of PRP facial by visiting amedspa.com right now.

Plasma compounds containing Growth Factor can promote skin growth and accelerate the wound healing process and increase the elasticity of collagen tissue that has a major role in cell regeneration. Growth Factor secretion decreases with age. In platelet can repair and reduce the basin in nasolabial (smile line).

Some indications of injecting PRP are to reduce and improve:

1. Wrinkles around the eyes
2. Wrinkles in the frontal area (forehead)
3. The smile / nasolabial line basin is difficult to do by other conventional therapies
4. Wrinkles around the lips
5. Wrinkles in the neck area
6. Scar acne scars
7. Dark circles around the eyes & sagging/swelling in the eyes.

Comparison of previous PRP and Therapy injection:

Hyaluronic Acid Injection is often used to treat wrinkles. The mechanism of action injecting PRP and hyaluronic acid is different. Beautiful skin, smooth and soft in election collagen elastic fibres. As you get older, the elastin collagen will decrease so that the quit will look sagging, wrinkles arise.

Unlike injections using hyaluronic acid and other ingredients to improve wrinkles, the injection using Platelet (PRP) improves wrinkles more naturally and gradually. A certain period of hyaluronic acid injection will be reduced (see figure) while the PRP injection will remain long.

Use of PRP may also be effective in treating baldness caused by androgenic alopecia. Androgenic alopecia is known as male pattern baldness. This occurs because of the vulnerability of hair follicles resulting in thinning of hair that occurs gradually. Further research is still needed to prove the ability of PRP injections to treat baldness.

PRP is also being tested for people with osteoarthritis. If people with osteoarthritis have not shown positive progress despite using drugs, then injectable therapy can be an option. One is PRP therapy. Unfortunately, the effectiveness of PRP therapy with osteoarthritis is unknown. Until now PRP therapy appears to be effective for use in chronic tendon inflammatory conditions in the elbow (tennis elbow). Although promising, PRP therapy still requires a lot of research to prove its effectiveness on other conditions, including for aesthetics.
